WARIDI (Swahili for Rose Flower)
Like a rose that blooms in beauty despite its thorns, the Waridi program exists to reflect the love of Christ by bringing hope where there is despair and purpose where there is uncertainty.
What began as a mission to support young women facing unexpected pregnancies has grown into a Christ-centered movement of compassion and empowerment. Today, Waridi not only walks with these young women but also embraces widows with care and restoration, and mentors young girls, nurturing them to become confident, purpose-driven women who know their value in Christ.
What Does Waridi Do?
Waridi Widows
Waridi Widows, under the Waridi arm of Open Door, walks alongside widows by offering spiritual encouragement, a supportive community, and small tokens of care such as flour or rice. Through prayer, fellowship, and the Word of God, widows are reminded of their value, dignity, and hope in Christ.
Waridi Teen Moms
Waridi Teen Moms walks with young mothers through prayer, mentorship, and encouragement. Alongside spiritual support, we offer practical help, such as baby essentials and guidance, reminding each teen mom of her God-given value and that she is never alone.
Waridi Girls
Waridi Girls nurtures young women with guidance, prayer, and encouragement to help them grow in faith and character. Through mentorship and practical support, each girl is reminded of her worth, dignity, and God-given potential for the future.
